Choose Lake Barrington for your Economic Development Location

Beautiful, scenic Lake Barrington, the area's best kept secret, is seeking economic developments that strengthen the existing business and industrial parks and promote future business growth, while enhancing the area’s performance standards and objectives.

After series of resident workshops and responses to our recent survey, Lake Barrington residents have spoken. Balanced economic development with enhancing the semi-rural charm and maintaining low real estate taxes are of the highest priority.

Retail Development Wanted

The Village of Lake Barrington is looking for retail and business growth.  The Village is interested in retail and resident service uses, gas station and convenience stores, and upscale dining is desired in the "M" and "B" zoning districts.

Why consider Lake Barrington?
  • Area: Beautiful, scenic area captures Mother Nature at her best with multiple forested growth areas and historic trees, wetlands, waterways, golf courses, public walking trail, and nearby Good Shepherd Hospital.
  • Statistics: Strong, viable income area (see demographics).
  • Location: Access to Northwest Highway, a major arterial roadway.
Two nearby train stations.  Commuter and local traffic along Northwest Highway (Route 14), Route 22, and Kelsey Road.
  • Land:  Water and sewer available to most properties lying in the "M" and "B" zoning districts
Recently improved roads and drainage.  Prime sites available: Vacant land and possible redevelopment locations are available.
  • Incentives:  Will consider tax and other incentives programs.
